Joypurhat is one of the most beautiful district in Bangladesh.It is located in Rajshahi Division.Before 1984 joypurhat was a subdivision of Bogra district and it has been turned into a complete district after 1984.Maximum average temperature 34.6 ° C. Minimum of 11.9 degrees.The annual average rainfall of 1610 mm.Now it has 965.44 square kilometers of area,3 municipalities,27 wards,5 upazilas,32 union parishads,719 mouzas,74 mahallas and 898 villages.
5 upazilas are:

  1. Akkelpur
  2. Joipurhat
  3. Kalai
  4. Khetlal
  5. Panchbibi
The economic system is 80% based on agriculture.So it is called the town of Agriculture.A large amount of crops like potato,onions are produced here,and sugar can also.Country's bigest starch and sugar mill stands here.
Bangladesh is a land of rivers.Many rivers are also across from joypurhat district.
Rivers: Tulsi Ganga, jamuna and Haramati.
